We will prepare, advertise, do test-drives, negotiate and sell your car on your behalf.
When you sign-up with Drive Auto Agency you can expect the following process;
First Steps;
We collect your car from you, organise to have it professional detailed, take professional photography.
We get information about your car such as service history, factory and non-factory options from you to use when selling your car.
Together we will work out the right price for which we’ll advertise the car – for this we use a lot of data and past sales information to work out what the market should pay for your vehicle.
Once all the above is done, we put all the information together and get your ad online!
Qualifying and Test Drives;
We respond to all enquiries for your car within 1 business hour and qualify buyers before inviting them to inspect and test drive.
When a test-drive is requested, we do an ID + drivers licence check and if you’re still holding onto your car we will arrange a time to collect the car from you, have it recleaned and conduct the test-drive with the buyer as well as handle any questions while demonstrating your cars features and benefits – we do this with every test drive until the car is sold.
If a professional vehicle inspection is requested by the buyer, we take care of this for you by arranging suitable times with their preferred mechanic/inspector (this is paid for by the buyer).
Then, once we receive an offer from the buyer, we ensure this is the most they are able to pay and we will discuss with you.
Completing the sale;
We assist and complete all the paperwork required for the sale, such as registration transfer, PPSR (finance/loan) clearance, new buyer licence check, vehicle transfer forms and providing a receipt to the buyer.
We facilitate the entire handover process as well as the transfer of ownership and receipt of the funds into your preferred bank account.
Once the sale is finalised and you confirm receipt of funds we hand the keys and car over to the new owner!
Drive Auto Agency is not a car dealership and completely independent of any car dealers. We aim to get our customers the very best sales price for their vehicle by removing the dealer from the process and making a private sale as hassle free as possible!

We started Drive Auto Agency to be the most transparent private sale concierge service in Australia. Too many dealerships and wholesalers are taking advantage of Australians when it comes time to sell their vehicles hence why we are upfront from the start. We highlight all costs upfront and only charge 2 fees, an initial Listing Fee ($429, to cover the cost of detailing, photography, online listings etc) and a Final Sale Fee.
This is totally up to you! We are comprehensively insured and can cater to any of our customers’ needs. The advantage of engaging Drive Auto Agency to sell your vehicle is we work with you to make what is traditionally inconvenient, as convenient as possible.
Firstly, we will do our best to use our market insights and experience to ensure the car is not over-priced and your expectations are a match for what your car will likely sell for.
In the rare occasion that we are unable to sell your car, we charge you absolutely nothing other than the initial listing fee of $429.
By engaging us we ensure you have a great ad listing for your car, professional photography and your car will present at its best and this helps to ensure you get the most interest and best offer from buyers.

Yes! In fact we find most of our customers have loans / leases outstanding on their car. We can help you with the entire process in paying out your loan with dual settlement on handover and ensure a smooth transition between you and the new buyer.
Selling a car on consignment at a dealership can be a good option for some rare or exotic cars, however with large overheads of having expensive real estate and large well fitted out dealerships, they need to charge a large commission in order to be profitable.
We at Drive Auto Agency operate a boutique business model and don’t have large dealerships in prime locations and we pass these cost savings onto our customers.
Dealerships may suggest that car buyers find their next car by walking around car dealerships and seeing options. In reality, most car research is done online well before the buyer leaves their house – and they will then visit a dealership (or private seller) to inspect a specific car they are interested in.
Additionally, we offer a very personalised concierge style service to our buyers and sellers without the uncomfortable dealership style environment.
Also unlike a consignment sale at a dealership, you can keep using your car while it’s being advertised for sale and we’ll work with you to book inspections and test drives as the qualified buyers enquire.
Absolutely!
Our business holds a full comprehensive motor traders insurance policy and keeping your car safe is our priority. We always recommend that you also maintain your own comprehensive insurance as an added safety measure.
When meeting with a buyer, we will take a copy of their drivers license prior to test-drive and our staff members are always present on any test drive.
